ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level Agile Tester (CTFL-AT)
The ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level Agile Tester (CTFL-AT) certification provides the key testing skills necessary to successfully contribute to an Agile project. The syllabus is developed by the leading global certification scheme in the field of software testing and covers agile testing in alignment with the principles of agile software development as outlined in the Agile Manifesto. A tester on an Agile project will work differently than one working on a traditional project. Testers must understand the values and principles that underpin Agile projects and how testers are an integral part of a whole-team approach together with developers and business representatives.
This certification is designed for professionals currently working in Agile environments, as well as those preparing to implement Agile practices or working in organizations planning such transitions. To be eligible for this certification, candidates must hold a Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate—Version 4 or earlier. However, since Agile testing is already covered in the CTFL Version 4 syllabus, it may not be beneficial for candidates who are CTFL v4 certified to pursue this certification, as the content may overlap.
